Whether scouring the undersurface of a Confederate harbor, covering every inch of Bull Run, or exploring the depths of a musty library, T.J. Johnston has always had a passion for the Civil War.

T.J. is a Michigan native and has degrees from Hope College and Michigan State University. He currently resides in Clifton, Virginia with his wife, twin daughters and son.
